Privacy Policy

This policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, and protected when customers use the Sentra AI mobile app for camera alert and security-system management.

Introduction

Sentra AI provides a customer-facing mobile application for managing connected NVR and camera alert systems. The app lets customers sign in, view connected NVR cameras, manage linked cameras, configure camera alert behavior, set mute schedules, choose detection classes and mask areas, view alert information, and verify a WhatsApp number for alert notifications.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Sentra AI mobile app and the customer-facing services that support it. It does not cover separate admin, operator, or internal tools except where those systems are used to provide or support the mobile app service.

Information We Collect

  • Account and login data: email address, account identifiers, display name, organization/account ID, and sign-in/session information. The app also uses email for password reset flows.
  • Authentication and session data: authentication identifiers, session tokens, and related session state needed to keep users signed in securely.
  • Phone and WhatsApp data: a phone number if you choose to link WhatsApp for alerts, and related verification status. WhatsApp verification is initiated by the user. When the user chooses to verify a number, they are redirected to WhatsApp where they can send a verification message. This process is optional and requires user action. All WhatsApp usage is opt-in. The user connects a verified phone number, and notifications are sent only to that number. We do not access WhatsApp messages or chat content.
  • Camera and NVR connection data: NVR/site names, manufacturer, model, serial number, device type, IP address, secondary IP address when provided, HTTP/RTSP ports, device username and password required to connect to the NVR, channels, interested channels, linked camera IDs, camera names, camera type, device/network/access/alert status, organization ID, client ID, and setup draft progress. This information is provided by the user or account administrator and is used to connect, validate, and operate supported NVR and camera services.
  • Alert, detection, and configuration data: notification and event records, alert messages, event times, NVR event times, severity/status, viewed/resolved metadata, detection classes, selected detection class IDs, confidence values, bounding boxes, tags, mute state, temporary inactive periods, weekly mute schedules, time zones, and camera mask polygons or regions configured by the customer.
  • Camera images, snapshots, and event media: the app can load and display camera preview image URLs and last-snapshot URLs returned by the backend. Notification and event records also include snapshot image IDs, temporary image URLs, and event/video media identifiers where available. The app does not request access to the phone camera, microphone, contacts, or local photo library. All media is provided by customer-owned NVR systems and is not captured by the mobile device.
  • Operational and diagnostic data: diagnostic and operational logs may be collected to maintain, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell personal information. The app is not designed to use personal data for advertising purposes or cross-app tracking.

Data may be shared with service providers only as necessary to operate the service.

How We Use Information

  • Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and protect account access.
  • Create, link, or validate customer profiles and organization access.
  • Display customer NVRs, cameras, linked cameras, camera status, and camera preview images.
  • Connect, scan, activate, sync, and manage NVRs and related camera channels.
  • Save customer configuration choices, including linked cameras, interested channels, detection classes, camera masks, mute schedules, temporary mute windows, and NVR setup drafts.
  • List and display notifications, alerts, event records, snapshots, and available event media.
  • Send WhatsApp alert notifications to a number you choose to verify through an optional, user-initiated process.
  • Operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the reliability of the app and supporting services.
  • Respond to support inquiries, including NVR setup and connection diagnostics submitted by the customer.

Sharing With Service Providers

We do not sell personal information. The app is not designed to use personal data for advertising purposes or cross-app tracking. We share information with service providers only as necessary to operate, secure, and support the app and alert service.

  • Authentication provider: used for sign-in, password reset, and account access management.
  • Sentra AI backend API (api.x-sentral.com): processes customer profile, camera, NVR, notification, schedule, detection, mask, event, WhatsApp-linking, and related operational data as described in this policy.
  • WhatsApp: used as an opt-in notification delivery channel for messages sent to a user-verified phone number.
  • Cloud storage and media services: camera snapshots, preview URLs, temporary media URLs, and event media files may be stored in or served from cloud infrastructure used by the Sentra AI platform.
  • NVR and camera integration services: camera and NVR connection details are processed by backend services that connect to your NVR device to retrieve device status, channel lists, snapshots, and alert data.

Data may be processed in countries where these service providers operate. Where applicable laws require safeguards for international data transfers, we rely on contractual and organizational measures consistent with those requirements.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration.

  • Data in transit: communication between the mobile app and service APIs is protected using HTTPS (TLS).
  • Authentication: authenticated access controls are used to protect account and service access.
  • Session protection: session information is stored using secure platform capabilities available on the device.
  • NVR credentials: NVR usernames, passwords, IP addresses, and ports are provided by users or administrators to connect supported devices and operate the service. Access to such information is limited to systems and processes required to operate the service.

Data Retention

We retain different categories of data for different periods depending on operational, security, legal, and contractual requirements. In general:

  • Account and session records may be retained as needed to provide account access, maintain service continuity, and meet legal or contractual obligations.
  • NVR and camera configuration and credentials may be retained as needed to connect and operate supported devices and to support service and security functions, depending on configuration and operational requirements.
  • Alert, event, snapshot, and media records may be retained as needed for service operation, security, compliance, and dispute handling.
  • Diagnostics and security logs may be retained as needed to monitor, maintain, and protect the service.
  • Support and deletion requests may be retained as needed to process requests, provide support, and maintain required records.

We retain data for as long as necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated personal data. Upon verified request, we will delete or anonymize data where possible, subject to legal, security, and operational requirements.

User Rights and Deletion Requests

Where applicable privacy laws grant rights, customers may request access, correction, deactivation, or deletion of personal information associated with the account, subject to verified identity where required and lawful exceptions (including retention needed for security, legal obligations, contractual or billing obligations, dispute resolution, or continued operation of our services).

How to request account deletion:

  • In the Sentra AI mobile app, open Settings → Delete Account while signed in — this submits a routed deletion request through your authenticated profile.
  • Use the public Account Deletion Request page or email workflow.
  • Email support@app-bizz.com, including the email address you use to sign in.

Processing timeframe. We aim to process verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law, security obligations, contractual requirements, billing records, dispute resolution, or operational necessity.

Children's Privacy

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information through the app, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
